The High Court in Accra has dismissed Minority Leader Cassiel Ato Forson's application for a mistrial and an enquiry into the Attorney General's conduct in the ongoing ambulance case.
The judge ruled that Ato Forson did not provide statutory grounds for a mistrial or an enquiry.
Ato Forson's motion cited a leaked tape suggesting the Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame, tried to coach the third accused, Richard Jakpa, to implicate him.
His legal team argued that the Attorney General's actions warranted a mistrial to uphold justice and public confidence in the judicial process.
