The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) is divided over an ongoing indefinite strike.

A group called the "Silent Majority of UTAG" is urging the National Executive Committee (NEC) to call off the strike by Friday.

They argue that while members initially supported the Organised Labor strike, the NEC failed to consult them before extending it.

The group's spokesperson, Prof. Isaac Boadi, emphasized that this is not a separate UTAG strike, but they expect NEC to take members' input seriously.

If the strike isn't called off, the group plans to take further action.
