David Asante set to contest 2024 election as Nkwakaw MP withdraws on health grounds

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has decided to replace Joseph Frempong, the sitting Member of Parliament for Nkwakaw, ahead of the 2024 parliamentary elections due to his health challenges.

David Asante, CEO of Ghana Publishing Company Limited and an indigene of Nkwakaw, has been selected as the party's new parliamentary candidate.

Asante previously contested Frempong in the party's primary in January 2024 but lost. With this development, he will represent the NPP in the upcoming general elections.
