Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has called for justice against protesters involved in violent actions during the recent Democracy Hub demonstration in Accra.
While acknowledging the right to protest, he condemned property damage and attacks on police officers as unacceptable and deserving of punishment.
In an interview with Angel FM, he stressed the need for accountability and swift legal action against those who commit such offenses.
Kufuor also advocated for a united effort against illegal mining (galamsey), highlighting its harmful effects on Ghana’s environment and livelihoods, and urged collaborative solutions to protect the nation's natural resources.
