Direct Aid builds mosque for UPSA

The Muslim Students’ Union of University of Professional Studies (UPSA) last Friday November 24, 2017 inaugurated its newly built mosque situated on campus.

The mosque was built by Direct Aid, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in Kuwait with support from Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA) and some other philanthropists.

“I am very confident that the prayers we shall receive here will help some of us achieve any ambition that we have in life” he remarked.

Minister of Inner City and Zongo Development, Boniface Abubakar Saddique who was also present advised the students to put measures in place for the maintenance of the mosque.

Ibrahim Anwar, President of the Ghana Muslim Students Association (GMSA), UPSA said the edifice is a relief to the Muslim students of the school because it was hectic preparing a place for prayers especially on Fridays while promising that the facility will be used judiciously.
