Don’t even dare take any land belonging to us – La Wulomo to government

The High Priest of La, Nii Yemo Obroni, has warned the government to stop selling lands belonging to the Ga Dangme people without their consent.

He accused the government of unlawfully selling their properties and collaborating with the Lands Commission to sell off lands in Tse-Addo, Trade Fair, and hotels in the area.

He demanded that the government return any sold lands and warned against further sales.

The warning came during the "Hands Off Our Hotels" demonstration, where hundreds of protestors, led by MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, presented a petition to the Presidency to halt the proposed sale of SSNIT-owned hotels.
