John Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, has accused the government of masking the current power crisis to avoid accountability.
He claimed the government is withholding a load-shedding timetable and allowing the energy sector's debt to accumulate, potentially leaving $2 billion in liabilities for the next administration if the NDC wins.
Mahama attributed recent power cuts to the withdrawal of Sunon Asogli from the power supply sector due to unpaid government debts.
Addressing supporters in the Oti Region, he also projected a 300,000-vote win in the Greater Accra Region for the upcoming election, emphasizing increased votes from Volta and Oti regions.
