Dusty Huhunya road kills one, 14 in critical condition

The dusty Huhunya-Asesewa road in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region has caused a fatal motor accident, resulting in one death and 14 critical injuries.

The accident occurred when a Hyundai H100 bus, attempting to overtake a minibus, collided with a motorcycle due to poor visibility caused by dust.

Nene Teye Kwame, Dademantse of Huhunya, blamed the contractors, Maripoma Construction, for not watering the road for six months, exacerbating the dangerous conditions.

He highlighted the health risks and economic impact of the dust, urging immediate action to prevent further incidents and safeguard the community.
