EC agrees to NUGS proposal, sets up voter transfer centers on campuses

Ghana's Electoral Commission (EC) has approved vote transfers for students from their registration locations to their campuses, enabling them to participate in the December 7 general elections.

The transfer process will take place from July 3 to July 5, 2024, across various school campuses in Ghana.

National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) President, Daniel Oppong Kyeremeh, praised the EC's decision and encouraged students to visit voter transfer centres with their ID cards for verification and activation.

He also clarified that transfers would only be permitted within the constituency of the student's school.
