EC approves 13 presidential aspirants for 2024 elections

The Electoral Commission (EC) has approved 13 candidates for Ghana's 2024 presidential election after a rigorous vetting process. Notable contenders include Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (NPP) and John Dramani Mahama (NDC), alongside several independents and first-time candidates.

Disqualified among the hopefuls is Bernard Mornah of the People's National Convention.

The EC stressed the transparency of its review, which scrutinized candidates' financials and citizenship.
