A former national organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan has described the allegations against the Electoral Commissioner and her response to these allegations as disgusting.

He has predicted doom for the country if the issue is not handled properly.

He opined, it will get to a point where people will no longer have trust in our independent institutions because of the undue interference by some faceless people.

He made reference to the judicial scandal which hit the nation and saw some judges sacked after they were caught on tape accepting bribe to subdue justice.

The judiciary he said was ridiculed following Anas' expose and that tag is still on them despite reforms done adding, ''we have not forgotten about the judicial scandal and yet another scandal has hit the election body. This is serious.

The EC has been commended for organizing a free, fair and transparent election despite the attacks. However, the current scandal has taken that shine away.

He recounted how the EC boss was vilified after her appointment and the allegation that she exchanged sex for her position.

Mr. Boateng Gyan was emphatic that there was undue interference and if not checked, it will spell doom for the country.

When he was told that the petition was filed by some aggrieved workers, he laughed it off and insisted that some individuals are on a mission to disrupt activities at the electioneering body.

He also charged politicians to be circumspect in their utterances considering the nature of the case.
