The Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to clearly outline the criteria for disqualifying presidential aspirants.
He criticized the EC for not providing formal communication on disqualification grounds, which hinders candidates' rights to appeal within the stipulated seven-day period.
Speaking on Joy Newsfile, he emphasized that the EC should ensure the disqualification process is transparent and based on constitutional requirements.
He also called out the Commission for contacting candidates through informal channels like WhatsApp, stating it’s not a proper procedure.
