ECG offers free maintenance services to KNUST

The Ashanti Sub-transmission team of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) performed free maintenance on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science substation on September 20, 2024, marking the first such work in over 40 years.

The maintenance included installing a battery and rectifier to improve the substation's protection and control systems.

General Manager Ing. Peter Fletcher stated that this initiative is part of ECG's corporate social responsibility, recognizing that many of its engineers are trained at KNUST.

Additionally, maintenance teams reinforced the network connections to the substation during the process.
