The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has committed to enhancing its power distribution network to minimize disruptions caused by severe weather.
"Transient tripping," or temporary interruptions, are typically restored automatically once weather conditions improve, but permanent faults require manual repair, leading to longer restoration times.
The company advised reporting local outages or fallen conductors to its call center or social media for prompt action.
ECG also urged the public to avoid sagging or fallen electrical conductors during the rainy season due to their danger.
