The Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), John Kingsley Krugu, has announced that the EPA is actively working to regulate and reduce noise pollution in Ghana.
Recognizing that noise pollution has often been overlooked, Mr. Krugu highlighted that the EPA, in collaboration with other stakeholders, has developed new regulations and standards to address the issue.
These guidelines are awaiting legislative approval, which will allow for their formal implementation.
The EPA is currently handling noise complaints through assessments and guidance, with plans to strengthen noise pollution control once the new regulations are in place.
