The European Union, in collaboration with the Embassies of the Netherlands and France, has launched the “Check the Facts; Don’t Get It Twisted” campaign to fight disinformation ahead of Ghana’s 2024 elections.
The initiative, targeting young voters, promotes media literacy and critical thinking through skits, jingles, and podcasts featuring popular Ghanaian celebrities like Dr Likee, Kwame Eugene, and Akrobeto.
The campaign aims to enhance fact-based discussions, with content in multiple languages to reach diverse audiences.
EU ambassadors emphasized the importance of reliable information to ensure transparent, inclusive, and peaceful elections in Ghana.
