EduWatch urges Mahama to clarify free tertiary education promise for Level 100 students

Africa Education Watch (EduWatch) has urged former President John Mahama to clarify his proposal for free tertiary education for Level 100 students. While acknowledging the potential benefits, EduWatch emphasized the need for detailed implementation plans.

Divine Kpe, Senior Programmes Officer at EduWatch, noted that the current student loan system is inadequate, leaving many students unable to pursue higher education due to financial constraints.

EduWatch recommends enhancing the student loan system and stressed that the success of Mahama’s proposal depends on how well it is implemented.
