Election 2024: IEA inaugurates presidential debate committee

The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has established a 9-member presidential debate committee to engage political parties ahead of the 2024 elections.

The committee, led by Justice Sophia Akuffo, includes notable figures such as Dr. Humphrey Ayim-Darke and Rev. Father Charles Boampong Sarfo.

The IEA plans to host presidential and vice-presidential debates in October and November.

Justice Akuffo stated that the committee aims to enhance the debate process, providing a platform for candidates to present their policies and visions, and to promote informed voting and peace throughout the election period.
