Election 2024: Mahama leads with 51.1% as Bawumia trails at 37.3% – Global InfoAnalytics

As the December 2024 elections approach, a poll by Global InfoAnalytics shows John Dramani Mahama of the NDC leading Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP, with 51.1% to 37.3% among committed voters. Mahama also leads among likely voters at 49.3%.

Voter apathy is a concern for the NPP, with 16% of potential non-voters identifying as NPP supporters, compared to just 3% for the NDC.

Mahama has gained support among floating voters and first-time voters, while Bawumia’s backing among Muslim voters has declined.

In regional trends, Mahama leads in 12 regions, including Greater Accra and Bono, while Bawumia retains support in the Ashanti region.

Key issues influencing voter sentiment are the economy, jobs, and education, with 62% believing the country is headed in the wrong direction.

President Akufo-Addo's job approval is low at 36%, signaling growing challenges for Bawumia and the NPP.
