The political climate is heating up as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) exchange accusations and warnings in the lead-up to Ghana’s December 7 elections.
The NDC has issued a stern “boot for boot” warning to the governing NPP, vowing to firmly respond to any acts of violence.
This follows NPP claims that the opposition party is planning to incite chaos.
Speaking on Starr Today, NDC Deputy General Secretary Mustapha Gbande assured Ghanaians that the elections will be peaceful but cautioned the NPP against provoking unrest.
He emphasized that the NDC will not repeat the alleged injustices of the 2020 polls, expressing confidence in a decisive victory for John Dramani Mahama.
Gbande called on the Electoral Commission and security agencies to remain neutral and uphold Ghana’s democratic integrity.
