Election 2024: We never promised to release provisional voters register in a week – EC

The Electoral Commission (EC) has denied claims by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that it promised to release a revised 2024 voter register within a week following the October 1 Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting.

In a statement on October 8, the EC clarified that its chairperson, Jean Mensa, stated the revised Provisional Voters Register (PVR) would be provided to political parties and uploaded online within two weeks or earlier.

The EC emphasized that there was no mention of a one-week deadline, contrary to the NDC's claim.
