Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC) in charge of corporate services, has assured Ghanaians of a well-organized and efficient general election on December 7.
Speaking on GHOne TV, Dr. Asare attributed the EC’s preparedness to adequate planning time and improved processes, contrasting the current situation with the 2020 elections held under COVID-19 constraints.
“In 2020, we had only six months for voter registration and exhibition. This year, we’ve had ample time,” he stated.
He highlighted enhanced measures, including the deployment of more collation officers at constituency, regional, and national levels, as key to ensuring transparency and accuracy.
“This election will go down as one of the best,” he affirmed, expressing optimism despite concerns raised by some political parties.
