Across the length and breadth of Ghana, hundreds of eligible Ghanaian voters have thronged the about 30,000 polling stations anxious to be among the first people to cast their vote in the 2016 general elections to choose a president and 275 parliamentary candidate ahead.
Happening on a day that has not been set aside as a public holiday, most voters pitched camp at their respective constituencies since Tuesday night so they could exercise their franchise early and proceed to their various workplaces.
Our photojournalist who toured some of the polling stations within Accra captured these moments of people waiting patiently in queues for polls to open to cast their ballot.
