Power supply to LEKMA Hospital has been restored after a disconnection on July 16, 2024, due to unpaid bills totaling 3 million cedis.

MP Benjamin Ayiku intervened, negotiating with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to restore power, stressing the critical impact on patient care.

Ayiku also advised the hospital to reassess its metering system to manage electricity costs better and ensure sustainable utility payments.

The hospital, built by the Chinese government in 2010, serves the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal District.
