The (NUGS) has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to establish voter registration centers in tertiary institutions.

This request aims to assist students who are registered voters but may face difficulties voting in their designated constituencies.

Emphasizing the constitutional rights under Article 42 and the Electoral Commission Act, NUGS highlighted the need for regulations that facilitated voter registration and transfer.

They asserted that such measures would reduce logistical and financial burdens on students, ensuring their inclusion in the democratic process and upholding fairness.
