North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has expressed disappointment in Chief of Staff Frema Osei Opare for dismissing allegations about repackaged expired rice distributed to Senior High Schools as “propaganda.”
Speaking on Joy FM’s Newsnight on Monday, November 18, Ablakwa criticized Madam Osei Opare for failing to investigate the claims thoroughly, accusing her of acting as a "clearing agent."
He argued that her role demanded proactive measures, such as summoning the Education Minister, NAFCO Board, and FDA to address the issue.
“As a mother and Chief of Staff, her first instinct should have been to verify the facts, not dismiss them outright,” Ablakwa stated, adding that her response undermined accountability in critical sectors.
