The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has warned the public to be cautious about food consumption due to a surge in food adulteration.
Investigations at Agbobloshie market revealed traders adding harmful substances to foods and oils, such as Sudan IV dye to palm oil and powdered pepper mixed with other substances to enhance color or quantity.
The FDA urged Ghanaians to take control of their food safety, as food adulteration and fraud are serious issues that can harm health.
The public is advised to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the FDA.
