The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) in Ghana has ramped up market surveillance, seizing unapproved products from the market.
This follows the FDA's sanctions against over 100 companies this year for advertising unapproved items.
During a recent operation, Market Surveillance team lead James Aboakye urged consumers to be vigilant and check product details, including food, medicine, and personal care items, to ensure they comply with FDA standards.
The FDA's daily market surveillance involves inspecting various facilities, pharmacies, and shops across different districts to ensure compliance.
