Professor Godfred Bokpin from the University of Ghana has criticized Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam's apology for the hardships caused by the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP).
Bokpin argued that the apology, while a step in the right direction, was insufficient without accompanying concrete actions.
He emphasized that Ghana's current economic challenges stem from past government mismanagement, including the misuse of COVID-19 funds.
Bokpin stressed that genuine accountability and corrective measures are necessary to address the country's ongoing financial struggles.
