Finance Ministry getting ready to pay customers of liquidated financial institutions – Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has announced that the Ministry of Finance is arranging to reimburse clients of companies liquidated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) during the financial sector clean-up.

This initiative aims to provide relief to affected investors and enhance transparency and accountability in the financial market.

Speaking in Kumasi, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the government's commitment to investor protection and mentioned ongoing engagements with affected customers.

Despite the government not being technically responsible for these payments, Dr. Bawumia emphasized that payments will be made out of empathy for the unfortunate investors.
