Ralph St. Williams, also known as 'Fellow Ghanaians' and a member of the FixTheCountry movement, was released on Thursday night after being arrested at Kotoka International Airport.
According to Oliver Barker-Vormawor, Constitutional Rights and Policy Advisor for Democracy Hub, Williams was not charged with any offense.
His family’s home was also reportedly raided by individuals in security uniforms.
The Democracy Hub believes the arrest was an attempt to disrupt their planned SayNoToGalamsey protest on September 21 against illegal mining.
The group has petitioned the IGP regarding the incident.
