Flooding on Ho-Accra main road leaves many stranded

A heavy downpour has caused flooding on the Ho-Accra main road, stranding travelers near Juapong.

The submerged culvert linking Juapong and Nudu has blocked both lanes. Benard Mawuli Afudego, a local committee member, reported the flooding began around 4pm on Saturday, with emergency efforts underway.

Afudego expressed hope that the water would recede within one to two hours, allowing traffic to resume, but also called for assistance to address potential ongoing issues.

He noted the water levels were decreasing and hoped the situation would improve soon to allow vehicles to pass.
