Foreign students flee Ghana over possible Ebola outbreak

Some foreign students of the University of Ghana are reportedly fleeing the country for fear of a possible Ebola outbreak.

The students, mainly from universities in the US were given the option to continue their courses back home or defer their courses should there be an outbreak of Ebola here in Ghana.

One of the frustrated students in an interview with Starr News said losing an entire semester is a risk they are unwilling to take.

Several suspected cases have been tested in Ghana but have all proved negative so far.

The haemorrhagic virus has killed close to 2,000 people in the West African sub-region so far. Liberia, Guinea, Nigeria and Sierra Leone have taken a mighty lot of battery from the epidemic.

DR Congo and Senegal also confirmed new cases recently.
