Former NPP MP for Ablekuma Central Victor Okuley Nortey passes on

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Victor Okuley Nortey, has passed away.

He died on August 18, 2024, at Nyaho Clinic in Accra after a brief illness.

Nortey, who was born in 1958, served as MP from 1999 to 2009, making him the longest-serving MP for the constituency.

His death was announced by Jefferson Sackey, the NPP's 2024 parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma Central, who noted that Nortey had been his campaign manager during the 2023 NPP primary.

Sackey expressed his deep condolences to Nortey's family and the NPP community.
