GNAT General Secretary Thomas Tanko Musah raised concerns over poor compensation and lack of rest for teachers under the double-track school system.
Responding to Education Minister Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum’s caution against abolishing the system, Musah stressed that the workload is exhausting teachers and requires urgent support.
He urged the government to create a compensation plan for teachers in double-track schools, highlighting the need for adequate rest to sustain quality education.
Musah warned that if the system continues, teachers’ well-being must be prioritized with proper compensation for their extra efforts.
