The Ministry of Education has responded to a report by The Fourth Estate, which claimed that the ministry paid GH¢56 million to Busy Internet (now Lifted Logistics Limited) for internet services that were not provided to some schools.
The Ministry explained that it only pays for accessible dedicated internet and has monitoring mechanisms in place to ensure timely detection and resolution of connectivity issues.
It also stated that it is considering terminating aspects of the contract in schools with satellite connectivity challenges.
The Ministry denied the report's claims, stating that it is committed to ensuring value for money in all its initiatives.
