Fuel tanker spills content on Cape Coast-Takoradi highway

A fuel tanker overturned on the Cape Coast-Takoradi highway near the UCC east gate on Sunday evening, July 28, spilling fuel and creating hazardous conditions.

The cause of the accident is unclear.

The spillage made the road slippery, endangering pedestrians and motorists.

Some individuals risked their lives collecting the spilled fuel.

Emergency services, including the Ghana National Fire Service and the Ghana Police Service, were promptly dispatched.

Police diverted traffic to prevent further accidents.
