GAF appeals for permanent accommodation for officers in Ahafo Region

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has appealed for permanent accommodation for its officers stationed in the Ahafo Region to enhance security operations.

Currently, officers are living in tents, which is hindering their effectiveness. Brigadier General Michael Opoku called on private companies, NGOs, and individuals to support the government in providing better living conditions.

Ahafo Regional Minister George Boakye expressed confidence that Newmont Ghana will assist in establishing permanent housing, which will significantly enhance security capabilities in the region.

Discussions were ongoing, and permanent accommodation solutions are anticipated soon.
