GBC D-G and Sports Minister’s $3 million payment dispute: new details surface

A leaked memo has contradicted statements made by the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) Director-General, Professor Amin Alhassan, about the disbursement of funds for the 13th African Games coverage.

The memo, dated February 28, 2024, details GBC’s request for contracts totaling over €2.1 million and $1.29 million, including $105,000 for a 24-hour African Games Channel.

This revelation challenges Prof. Alhassan's earlier surprise over a $3 million figure reported to Parliament.
