GHALDA concerned about recent drowning case at Labadi Beach Resort

The executives of Ghana Lifesaving and Diving Association (GHALDA) have expressed concern about the high rate of drowning in the country.

“The little girl got drowned at the Luxury hotel simply because there were no lifeguards/ a requirement GHALDA has insisted every hotel in the country should have. The Labadi Hotel incident had been covered up until a whistleblower alerted the association”.

GHALDA is noted to be the sole mandated body that has the right to certify qualify lifeguards in all hotels in the country.
