Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, owner of the defunct GN Bank, has appealed to Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor Dr. Ernest Addison to reconsider reinstating the bank's license and restoring its assets.
Nduom argues that GN Bank’s assets remain viable and that the bank had sufficient funds contrary to BoG's claims of insolvency.
GN Bank’s license was revoked in 2019 due to regulatory breaches. Nduom disputes these claims, urging the BoG to review new evidence proving the bank's capital adequacy.
He envisions reopening GN Bank, employing thousands, and enhancing financial inclusion. He criticizes the BoG-appointed receiver for neglecting the bank’s assets.
