The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has published a list of unaccredited study centres used by the University of Cape Coast (UCC), University for Development Studies (UDS), and University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

In a statement on October 3, GTEC warned that students pursuing programmes at these centres do so at their own risk.

UCC has 91 unaccredited centres, UDS has 21, and UEW has 48.

GTEC will not recognize credentials from students at these centres for the 2024/2025 academic year and urges parents and students to avoid these institutions.
