The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with potential governments before the upcoming elections to ensure that political parties honor their commitments if elected.
GUTA President Dr. Joseph Obeng stated that this election cycle, the association insisted on contributing to party manifestos rather than just reviewing them after they've been drafted.
This move is part of GUTA's broader effort to protect its members' interests and hold future governments accountable for their promises, especially in light of economic challenges like the cedi's depreciation and rising business costs.
