Ga Traditional Council vows to punish shop owners who fail to show up for clean-up exercise

The Ga Traditional Council is organizing a cleanup exercise, "Let's Keep Accra Clean," from July 2, 2024, led by Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.

All shop owners are required to participate, and those who fail to do so will face punishment.

The exercise aims to promote good waste management practices, improve environmental hygiene, and instill community ownership.

The campaign will include household registration, education on waste management, and enforcement of by-laws.

The Ga Mantse emphasized that environmental cleanliness is a non-political concern that requires collective effort.
