Galamsey: Church must lead fight against illegal mining in Ghana – Rev. Dr Amoafo

Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Kwasi Amoafo has urged the church to collaborate with the government to address the illegal mining (galamsey) crisis in Ghana.

Speaking on Channel One TV, he called for religious leaders to use the pulpit to educate communities about protecting the environment and preserving water bodies.

He also emphasized the church’s influence in Ghana and its potential to push for better regulations and provide sustainable alternatives to galamsey.

Rev. Dr. Amoafo further encouraged the church to unite, set aside political differences, and pray for a peaceful 2024 election with a God-chosen leader.
