Galamsey adversely affecting our baptism – Deeper Christian Life Ministry

The Deeper Christian Ministry has announced a suspension of baptisms for new converts due to pollution from illegal mining, known as galamsey, making it difficult to access clean water for the ritual.

Head pastor of Deeper Life Church in Kumasi, Pastor Yaw Osei Wusu, emphasized the urgent need to address illegal mining's impacts on water sources.

This issue has drawn attention from various organizations, including the Seventh Day Adventist Church, which has also faced challenges in accessing water for baptisms.

The government has recently announced measures to combat illegal mining activities.
