Ghana Police retreat, agree to provide security for #ReOccupyJulorbiHouse protest

The Ghana Police Service has reversed its decision and will now provide security for the #ReOccupyJulorbiHouse protest, despite initially obtaining an injunction to block it.

The injunction, filed by Chief Inspector Richard Asamoah on September 17, 2024, was aimed at halting the Democracy Hub Group's demonstration.

The protest, scheduled for September 21-23, 2024, will take place at Revolution Square, opposite Jubilee House.

The Police have pledged to maintain order and will provide further details on security measures on September 19, 2024.

The Democracy Hub Group had initially notified the Inspector General of Police in July 2024 and aims to address issues such as socio-economic injustice and corruption.
