Ghana is supporting Burkina Faso to fight terrorism – Ambassador

Ghana's Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Boniface Gambila Adagbila, has affirmed Ghana’s support for Burkina Faso in combatting terrorism.

His comments follow a Reuters report that Islamist militants from Burkina Faso are using northern Ghana as a base for supplies and medical aid, claims he refuted.

Adagbila warned of the risk that terrorism could spread into Ghana if Burkina Faso’s efforts falter, emphasizing regional collaboration to prevent the insurgency from escalating.

He called for proactive security measures, noting that Ghana’s support is crucial to safeguard against potential threats along its northern border.
