A recent Afrobarometer report by the Center for Democratic Development (CDD) reveals a record low in public trust toward Ghanaian institutions, with strong doubts about their integrity.
Despite changes in leadership, trust has continued to drop since 2012, particularly in institutions like the judiciary, Parliament, tax authorities, and the presidency.
The report highlights that 74% of Ghanaians see rising corruption, and only 26% feel safe reporting it.
While 60% believe the 2020 election was fair, concerns about accountability and transparency persist as the 2024 elections approach.
