Ghanaians would be 'happy' to pay more taxes - Sam George shades Gabby

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Samuel George Nartey has sent a message to President Akufo-Addo’s relative Gabby Otchere Darko to be conveyed to the President regarding the rumoured increased in VAT.

The message which he wrote on his facebook sighted by MyNewsGh.com sarcastically welcomed the decision to increase VAT, saying he is sure Ghanaians would love it.

Greetings to you the great bosom of the Addo-D government. I have seen your latest vituperation. The gods indeed must be crazy.

When your government is collapsing and failing abysmally, the least you can do is to bow your head in shame at the squalor you have visited on the ordinary Ghanaian whom you promised Heaven but have delivered Hades to.

You have the effontery, impertinence, gall and temerity to tell President John Dramani Mahama to shush! Goodness graces! Simply because He has spoken the truth? The truth that your government has set the Nation’s teeth on sour grapes? That you are spectacularly regressing our beloved Nation? That your promised fabled utopia has turned out to be a dark dungeon of despair?

Ghanaians await your introduction of taxes. We eagerly do! We thank you in advance for your kindness and magnanimity. Tax us more so you can live in even more luxury. Tax us more so you can appoint more family members and cronies into government. Tax us more so there’s more in the national kitty to loot. Tax us more and blame the NDC for all our Nation’s woes.

The NDC is not without blame. We are not perfect. We may have our failings but by jove, you and your ilk make us look like perfection. Go ahead, milk us dry. The day of reckoning beckons nigh.
